Seller Standards & Marketplace Rules

Welcome to Upcartt. This Seller Standards page explains the rules, responsibilities, and quality expectations for anyone selling or listing products on the Upcartt platform. These standards exist to protect buyers, ensure fair dealing, and maintain trust across the marketplace.

By creating a seller account or listing products on Upcartt, you agree to follow these standards in addition to our Terms & Conditions.


 
1. Role of Upcartt

Upcartt is a marketplace platform.

  • Upcartt currently does not own, manufacture, store, inspect, or ship products.

  • Upcartt currently does not collect or handle payments between buyers and sellers.

  • All transactions, payments, delivery terms, and after-sales arrangements are directly agreed between the buyer and seller.

Sellers are fully responsible for their products, pricing, communication, delivery, and compliance with applicable laws.


 

2. Seller Eligibility

To sell on Upcartt, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old.

  • Provide accurate and complete profile information.

  • Have legal authority to sell the listed products.

  • Comply with Pakistani laws and any applicable international trade regulations.

Upcartt may request verification documents at any time.


 

3. Product Listing Standards

 

What you can sell on Upcartt

Sellers may list creative and custom products, including but not limited to:

  • Handmade crafts and décor

  • Abstract or calligraphy-based artwork

  • Decorative wall art (non-figurative)

  • Customized gifts and personalized items

  • DIY kits and creative supplies

  • Candles, soaps, and artisan goods

  • Textile, fabric, and embroidery products

  • Home and lifestyle creative items

All listings must comply with Upcartt’s Seller Standards and applicable laws.

 

What you cannot sell on Upcartt

To comply with platform policies and regional regulations, the following items are not allowed and will not be approved:

  • Artwork containing human faces or animal faces

  • Sculptures or figurines resembling humans or animals

  • Idols, statues, or any products resembling religious figures

  • Mass-produced or factory-made items without creative value

  • Copyrighted or trademarked content without authorization

  • Illegal, prohibited, or restricted items under applicable laws

  • Misleading, deceptive, or inaccurately described products

Upcartt reserves the right to review, reject, or remove listings that violate these guidelines.

 
Accuracy & Transparency

Sellers must ensure that all listings are:

  • Truthful, clear, and not misleading

  • Accurate in description, images, specifications, and condition

  • Representative of the actual product being offered

Misrepresentation, exaggerated claims, or deceptive listings are strictly prohibited.

Pricing Rules
  • Listed prices must reflect the base product or service only, unless stated otherwise.
  • Buyers are encouraged to contact sellers directly to inquire about customization options, add-ons, special requests, and their associated costs.
  • After discussing requirements, the seller and buyer must mutually agree on:
  1. Customization details
  2. Additional costs
  3. Delivery timeline (if applicable)
  4. Once agreed, the seller is required to create a custom order clearly listing:
  • All customization details
  • Any additional add-ons or services
  • The final agreed price

Sellers are strictly prohibited from introducing hidden charges, surprise fees, or price changes after a custom order has been created or agreed upon.


 
4. Communication & Conduct
4.1 Professional Communication

Sellers must:

  • Respond to buyer inquiries respectfully and honestly

  • Avoid abusive, misleading, or coercive language

  • Provide reasonable response times

Poor communication and/or wrong information may result in account suspension.

4.2 Negotiations
  • Sellers and buyers may negotiate price, payment method, and shipment directly through in-built messaging system.

  • Upcartt does not interfere in negotiations and is not responsible for agreed terms.


 
5. Payments & Transactions
  • All payments are handled outside Upcartt.

  • Sellers are responsible for choosing safe and legal payment methods.

  • Upcartt is not liable for fraud, non-payment, chargebacks, or payment disputes.

Sellers are encouraged to use secure and traceable payment methods.


 
6. Shipping & Delivery Responsibilities

Sellers are responsible for:

  • Agreeing on delivery method and timeline with the buyer

  • Packaging items securely

  • Ensuring shipment complies with local and international regulations

Delivery timelines may vary by seller and must be clearly communicated.

Upcartt is not responsible for delays, loss, or damage during shipping.


 
7. Product Quality & Defects
  • Sellers are fully responsible for product quality and condition.

  • Upcartt does not guarantee the quality, safety, or authenticity of any product.

Buyer Complaints

If buyers report:

  • Defective items

  • Wrong products

  • Misrepresentation

Upcartt may:

  • Review listing details and seller account history

  • Issue warnings to seller

  • Temporarily limit seller visibility

  • Suspend or permanently terminate seller accounts in case of repeated complaints

Upcartt does not provide refunds or replacements.


 
8. Returns, Refunds & Disputes
  • Return and refund policies are set by the seller, not Upcartt.

  • Sellers must clearly communicate their policy before finalizing a deal.

  • Disputes should be resolved directly between buyer and seller.

Upcartt may review disputes for platform enforcement purposes only, not as an arbitrator.


 
9. Account Violations & Enforcement

Upcartt may take action if a seller:

  • Repeatedly receives verified complaints

  • Violates listing or conduct standards

  • Engages in fraud or deceptive practices

  • Fails to comply with legal requirements

Possible actions include:

  • Content or listing removal

  • Account warnings

  • Temporary suspension

  • Permanent account termination

Upcartt’s decision in enforcement matters is final.


 
10. Legal Compliance

Sellers are responsible for compliance with:

  • Pakistani and International consumer protection laws

  • Tax regulations

  • Import/export rules (if applicable)

  • International trade and customs laws

Upcartt assumes no liability for a seller’s legal non-compliance.


 
11. Updates to Seller Standards

Upcartt may update these Seller Standards at any time.

  • Continued use of the platform after updates constitutes acceptance.

  • Sellers are encouraged to review this page often.

Upcartt will notify users of any update on its terms and seller standards.
